Powering Our Future

Powering Our Future is a suite of renewable energy education curricula and web-based learning activities developed for the Salt River Project in Phoenix, Arizona. The program focuses on energy use, electricity, renewable energy, energy conservation and most recently, climate change. The program consists of three Modules.

The Module for Grades 4 to 6 features the eJourney, an interactive computer-based learning experience available on-line and on disc. Three classroom lessons accompany the on-line journey and are available as PDF downloads.

The Module for Grades 6 to 8 includes five units of lessons emphasizing hands-on, classroom-based activities. A few lessons utilize an interactive computer-based learning experience. The module is available in a print volume (to Arizona teachers) as well as through the SRP website via PDF downloads.

The High School Module includes one unit of five lessons focusing on solar photovoltaic power. The high school materials are available as a print volume (to Arizona teachers) as well as through the SRP website via PDF downloads.
