Too Good to Throw Away!

Too Good to Throw Away! is a three-part recycling education program designed for first through fifth grade learners. Students learn about and practice the 3 Rs: reduce, reuse, and recycle – and have FUN in the process. The program, which is customized for grades 1-2 and grades 3-5, includes a pre-visit activity, an interactive 45-minute classroom presentation, and two post-visit activities, all aligned with ADE standards. These activities provide practical knowledge and skills that will help students make intelligent decisions now and in the future. Students are given pencils made from recycled paper at the end of the classroom presentation. Too Good to Throw Away! is sponsored by City of Tucson Environmental Services and offered free of charge to schools located with the Tucson city limits.  Materials can be downloaded and presentations can be scheduled at www.outreach-scheduling.org.
